HRI is proud to join forces with 12RND Fitness Newtown to inspire the local community to look after their physical and heart health.

In April 2018, the team at 12RND celebrated the opening of their latest club in Newtown by donating $5,000 to HRI.

12RND Fitness is the latest fitness concept causing a stir across Australia, with Danny Green as the ambassador. It combines high intensity group workouts with functional strength, conditioning and sports-based cardio activities, to provide the ultimate ‘total body’ workout. The sessions are built around 12 work stations, changed daily – with a new round starting every 3 minutes. It incorporates elements of boxing techniques and is suitable for all fitness levels.

Cardiovascular disease is Australia’s – and the world’s – biggest killer. Every 12 minutes, someone in Australia dies from cardiovascular disease.

Many of the greatest risk factors for cardiovascular disease, including obesity, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, are modifiable – meaning that you can reduce your risk by making lifestyle changes such as having a good diet, being physically active and maintaining a healthy weight.

We joined forces for 12RND’s launch day, where prospective members could walk in and try one of the 45-minute rounds as well as meet with an HRI representative, get their blood pressure checked and walk away with an HRI goody bag.
