Biography

Over the past two decades Adele has gained an international reputation for her work within the corporate sector and government, driving significant economic and social projects. Adele has advised business and political leaders on policy, programs and strategy, with a focus on inclusive economic growth.

Currently, Adele is focusing on impact investing and equal economic opportunity at the Minderoo Foundation, Australia’s largest philanthropic foundation. Most recently driving Goldman Sachs’ corporate philanthropy work in New York, Adele managed global initiatives across a $10 billion portfolio of programs and impact investing. Adele worked to build out Goldman Sachs’ sustainability platform, addressing financial inclusion, gender and racial equity, entrepreneurship and education.

Adele previously served as a senior lawyer for the Australian Government and for non-profit organisations in both Australia and the U.S, focused on women’s safety and vulnerable communities.

Earlier in her career, Adele served as a senior advisor to the Australian Government, including deputy chief of staff to the Attorney-General. She played a key role in advancing national legal and human rights reforms, advising Cabinet ministers and shaping federal policy.

Following her work in government and relocating to America, Adele established a U.S. office for an Australian consultancy firm, a role in which her experience in stakeholder management and public engagement came to the fore.

Adele is a United Nations Women MBA scholar and a frequent speaker at international conferences, appearing in forums hosted by the World Bank, U.S. Department of State, Social Innovation Summit and the United Nations Foundation.
