Effects of colchicine on neutrophil function in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients

We will investigate the ability of colchicine to stabilise vulnerable coronary plaque via suppression of neutrophil function in ACS patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention.

We have previously shown the presence of activated neutrophils and downstream mediators in vulnerable plaque from ACS patients (PMID: 27913753).

Here we will investigate the ability of colchicine to stabilise vulnerable coronary plaque via suppression of neutrophil function in ACS patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention.

The team
