The Heart Research Institute partners with companies to accelerate the progress of cutting-edge research into the major underlying causes of most heart attacks and strokes.
Together, we can harness the power of your core business and your employees to prevent death and suffering from heart disease, whilst helping you meet your business objectives.
We have extensive experience in employee engagement and workplace giving; consumer-facing campaigns; event and campaign sponsorship; and tailoring tangible and engaging research program to corporate foundations.
Cardiovascular disease affects two out of every three Australian families, and is therefore close to the hearts of many in the Australian workforce. We provide dedicated account management to support your staff in fundraising, implementing workplace giving donations, or taking part in fun runs and challenges for HRI, with the option to support a bespoke project.
We work with you to develop creative and inspiring communications to your staff showing the impact of their support, including intranet and newsletter content, talks from our scientists, poster and desk drop materials and more.
Cause-related marketing and customer engagement
Most consumers agree that where the price and the quality of products or services seem equal, they are more likely to choose the one associated with a cause.
We can work with you to develop compelling consumer-facing campaigns designed to boost sales and differentiate your brand. These could include product promotions, in-store or in-branch activations, and social media or other content directed towards your customers, followers or members.
HRI runs high-profile, well-attended events ranging from Illuminate, our annual celebration of science and discovery, hosted in iconic venues such as The University of Sydney’s Great Hall, through to scientific conferences attracting some of the world’s most talented cardiovascular researchers.
We work with you to connect you to your preferred target audience and integrate your brand throughout, showcasing it creatively and interactively to engage guests.

Employee volunteering, pro bono and gifts in kind
We value the contribution that skilled employee volunteering and pro bono support can bring to our organisation across fields such as marketing, legal and IT, whether as a specific consultancy project or ad hoc pro bono hours.
We also have some opportunities to volunteer directly in our research for those local to our Sydney laboratories, including donating blood for use in experiments.
